From the second half of the nineteenth century the Cimitero Monumentale has been a really fascinating open air museum full of sculptures and works of art by great artists commissioned by Milanese most important families. Beyond the famous Famedio, a small Pantheon of the Milan’s illustrious men, there are the aedicule of the Campari family whit bronze sculpture of Leonardo’s Last Supper by Giannino Castiglioni, the aedicule of the Motta family carved by Giacomo Manzù and many more important works such as the ones created by Butti and Pomodoro.
