MILAN THROUGH GALLERIES AND COVERED PASSAGES
A tour wandering through the centre of Milan discovering the precious decorations and the historical clubs in Milanese galleries. After the construction of the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele (1865-1877), the idea of covered passages, following Parisan fashion, was adopted by great nineteenth-century architects like Gio Ponti, Luigi Caccia Dominioni, Giovanni Muzio, Figini and Pollini. In Milan there are more than forty galleries, some packed with people and shops, some others forgotten, but each one of them is worth discovering with their historical shops, art galleries, cafes and traditional Milanese restaurants.
